In February 2022 we launched a new project ‘Culture meets Creativity in Tower Hamlets’ working with two young producers of Bangladesh heritage to engage with residents in the London borough of Tower Hamlets, to depict diverse culture through the creation of a new community mural in Shadwell Gardens.
Working with our young producers Nodee Niranjana and Tomzida Sultana, we engaged with residents across the borough and Mulberry School for Girls over the period of 8-weeks in coming with up a design which fused their ideas and input to show the element of different culture people that walk alongside them in Shadwell.
Our mural ‘Culture meets Creativity’ celebrating the rich diversity of people who call Tower Hamlets their home was painted in September 2022 at Shadwell Gardens (E1 2QJ) on the wall pictured below by Alex Cullen and Woskerski.
This project was funded by Foundation for Future London, Creative Futures Fund.
